Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana have announced the birth of their sixth child, a son named Jesse James Ramsay. The couple shared the happy news on Instagram on Saturday, calling the newborn an “amazing birthday present” for Ramsay, who turned 57 on Wednesday.
Ramsay posted three photos of Jesse and Tana in the hospital, showing the baby boy wearing a pink hat and cuddling with his mother. The chef also revealed that Jesse weighed 7lbs 10oz and hinted that he would be their last child, writing, “One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade! 3 boys, 3 girls… Done.”
Tana, 49, also shared a photo of herself holding Jesse, with the caption: “Our beautiful baby boy Jesse James Ramsay arrived yesterday afternoon. We are so in love with him and feel so blessed. Thank you for all your lovely messages.”
The couple, who have been married since 1996, are already parents to Megan, the eldest, who is now in her mid-20s; twins Jack and Holly; and Matilda “Tilly” and Oscar. They also suffered a pregnancy loss in 2016, when Tana miscarried their son Rocky at 20 weeks.
Ramsay received many congratulatory messages from his celebrity friends and fans, including fellow chefs James Martin and Gino D’Acampo, actor Jeremy Renner, footballer Frank Lampard, and Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden.
Ramsay is known for his fiery personality and his popular TV shows, such as Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, and The F Word. He also owns several Michelin-starred restaurants around the world. Tana is a cookery book author and a TV presenter who has appeared on shows like MasterChef and Dancing on Ice.
