STRIKE: OSHIOMHOLE URGES LABOUR TO PRIORITIZE WORKERS’ WELFARE

The former president of the Nigeria Labour Congress Adams Oshiomhole is expressing disapproval for the ongoing strike, saying that it does not adequately address the crucial issues facing workers.

The senator representing Edo North senatorial district warns against mixing political opinions with labour union responsibilities.

He is also urging the NLC to prioritise engagement with state governments that have not implemented the agreed wage for workers in their states. He was speaking at the presidential villa in Abuja
