Court admits ex-CBN governor Emefiele to N300m bail

Date:

A High Court sitting in Abuja has granted the embattled former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, bail for the sum of N300 million.

Ruling on his bail application on Wednesday, Justice Hamza Muazu said the sureties must have Certificates of Occupancy and titles of property within the Maitama District.

Muazu said that the former CBN governor be kept in Kuje Correctional Centre till he meets the bail conditions.

Emefiele was not in court during today’s proceedings having been remanded at Kuje Prison last week.
