Nigerian singer Opeyemi Rahim, popularly known as Lyta, has expressed his desire to return to his former record label, YBNL Nation.
In a recent episode of the ‘Ginger Yourself’ Podcast, Nigerian singer, Lyta, revealed his earnest desire to rejoin the YBNL Nation record label. Lyta clarified that his departure from YBNL was not intentional, expressing a wish to return to the music family.
He said, “I want to be back with YBNL, what I did back then [leaving YBNL Nation] wasn’t intentional. I didn’t hear from Olamide before leaving and after I left, he just locked up. But I’ve spoken to him since leaving. I chatted with him via Instagram on his birthday and he responded.”
Asked if Olamide is following him on Instagram, the ‘Monalisa’ crooner said, “No. He is not following anybody on Instagram.”
In a separate interview, Olamide stated that Lyta had requested to leave the music group after claiming to secure another contract with a new boss. The dynamics between the two artists have sparked curiosity within the music industry.
The YBNL boss Olamide is yet to say anything regarding the statement by his former signee, this also comes at a time when the music industry is plagued by artists and their troubles with their various record labels.
Recall that Lyta left YBNL Nation in 2019 after falling out with the record label boss, Olamide.
He disclosed in an interview in 2022 that he left YBNL Nation because he “heard a lot of things from friends and people in the industry.”
