Nigerians are suffering: Kwam 1’s musical plea to Tinubu (VIDEO)

Date:

In a rare display of public discontent, Fuji legend Wasiu Ayinde, also known as Kwam 1, has voiced his concerns about the worsening economic and security situation in Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu’s rule.

The veteran singer, who is a loyal supporter and praise singer of Tinubu, took the opportunity to convey the message of his fans and fellow citizens at a recent event where he performed.

In his lyrics, which were partly in Yoruba and partly in English, Kwam 1 lamented the high cost of living, the scarcity of fuel and foreign currency, the low value of the naira, the lack of electricity, and the rampant cases of kidnapping and banditry.

Wasiu Ayinde (K1) also reminded Tinubu of the promises he made during his campaign, such as providing prosperity, security, and good governance to Nigerians.

He urged Tinubu, whom he addressed as “my boss” and “Akambi”, to listen to the cries of the people and find a solution to the problems plaguing the nation.

He expressed his confidence in Tinubu’s ability to restore stability and peace, and appealed to the citizens to be patient and hopeful.

K1 also warned those who are trying to sabotage or undermine Tinubu’s government to desist from their actions, saying that they will not succeed.

Kwam 1’s musical plea has gone viral on social media, with many Nigerians reacting to his bold and honest expression of the current realities.

Some praised him for speaking the truth and being courageous, while others criticized him for being hypocritical and opportunistic.

Some also questioned his sincerity and motive, wondering if he was genuinely concerned about the plight of Nigerians or if he was trying to secure his position and income as Tinubu’s praise singer.

Kwam 1 has composed and performed several songs in praise of Tinubu, extolling his virtues and achievements, and endorsing his candidacy for the presidency in the 2023 elections.

However, Kwam 1’s latest song seems to indicate that he is not blind to the challenges and difficulties that Nigerians are facing under Tinubu’s administration, which has been marred by economic recession, inflation, unemployment, insecurity, corruption, and human rights violations.

Whether his song will have any impact on Tinubu’s policies and actions remains to be seen, but it is clear that Kwam 1 has captured the mood and sentiment of many Nigerians who are suffering and crying for change.
