Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has declared that Nigeria needs God’s intervention to overcome its numerous challenges. He made this declaration during a courtesy visit to the governor of Kaduna state, Senator Uba Sani, at the Government House on Sunday.
Adeboye, who was in Kaduna for a two-day crusade, said that the problems facing Nigeria were beyond human solutions and required spiritual remedies. He said that Nigeria was blessed with abundant resources and talented people, but still faced many difficulties in various sectors. Also that the political leaders were doing their best, but they needed divine guidance and support to succeed.
“We have been going round in our own little ways to support the efforts of all the various governments and parastatals to call on the Almighty to come to our aid, because we need help. We need help and we need it urgently.”
He added that he was in Kaduna to pray for the people and give them hope, saying that tomorrow would be better if Nigerians could be more patient with God. He said that he trusted God that the problems would not last forever and would be over sooner than later.
“That is why we have been going round holding crusade and the crusade are just a means of gathering people together to let them know tomorrow is going to be alright if we can be a little more patient with God.”
Governor Sani, in his response, expressed his appreciation to Adeboye for his visit and prayers, saying that Nigeria needed the intervention of respected clerics like him to steer the nation towards greatness. He said that President Bola Tinubu was determined and focused to take the country to a greater height, but he needed the prayers and support of all Nigerians.
He said, “So far, Mr President has taken some very important steps towards moving our country forward but most of these steps are things that might be difficult at this critical time because they are major reforms we need; both economic reforms, as well as social reforms.”
He urged Adeboye to continue to pray for the nation and its leaders, saying that Kaduna state was proud to host him and his crusade.
