Sokoto allocates N6.7bn for Ramadan feeding programme

As the crescent moon heralds the arrival of Ramadan, the Sokoto State Government has announced a bountiful allocation of N6.7 billion to its revered Ramadan feeding program. This substantial investment is a testament to the state’s dedication to ensuring that the spirit of the holy month is marked not just by fasting, but by feasting and fellowship as well.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu proudly declared the commencement of this noble initiative during the ceremonial distribution of grains. A total of 18,400 orphans and individuals in need will find their tables laden with bags of nourishing rice and millet, accompanied by a cash gift of N5,000—a beacon of hope and a symbol of shared prosperity in these sacred times.

This year’s program is more than a mere gesture; it is a profound expression of Sokoto’s enduring values of care and generosity, ensuring that every Iftar is an occasion of joy and gratitude.
