Ayoola Ayoola, a renowned actor and singer from Nollywood, has opened up about a time in his life when he considered suicide.
The star of ‘The Men’s Club’ revealed that he fell into a state of depression when he found out he was going to be a father, a role he felt he was not ready for.
In a heartfelt interview with Chude Jideonwo, Ayoola expressed regret over his past thoughts. He shared, “When I found out about my son’s impending arrival, I wasn’t ready to embrace fatherhood. I was so depressed that I almost ended my life. I intentionally misjudged the distance while crossing the road, hoping to be hit, but the car merely grazed me.”
Reflecting on his past actions, Ayoola said, “Now, when I look at my son, I think, ‘Is this the life I was about to forfeit? Was I about to rob this little boy of his father?’”
