Ooni Ogunwusi fetes top dignitaries, traditional rulers, cultural icons, other guests to celebrate twins’ christening

The enigmatic and charismatic indomitable Alayeluwa, Arole Oodua His Imperial Majesty Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi on Saturday the 23rd of March, 2024 held an unforgettable naming ceremony for his twins, Prince Adesina Taiwo and Princess Adesewa Kehinde at his expansive Palace in Ile-Ife.

The event kickstarted with a prayer and thanksgiving sessions after which the highly exalted Oba Ogunwusi prayer for the new twins, blessing then bountifully and sending loving messages to their mother, Olori Oluwatobiloba Ogunwusi. Present at this session were the Obalufe of Iremo Kingdom, HRM Oba Idowu Adediwura, the Lowa Adimula (head of the sixteen chiefs of Ooni) High Chiefs Adekola Adeyeye alongside all.otger fifteen chiefs who.malw up the Iwarefa, Community heads (Baales), the Skills led by Prince Adetunji Ogunwusi the Sooko Laekun, Loodokos, the Iyalodes and a mammoth crowd of Ife some and daughters from all spheres of life.


After this, Ooni Ogunwusi rolled out cash gifts to all.twins present in the Palace that day. Thereafter, the event became sparkling colourful with the arrival of Iyalaje Oodua and his entourage. She was warmly welcome by the Kabiyesi.

Topnotch dignitaries, traditional rulers, society big boys and girls amongst others were entertertained. The Iyalaje Oodua took up the dancing steps with Olori Aderonke and Olori Temitope, they all rocked the entire hall with their fascinatingly dancing skills. It was a great event that will forever remain glued to the hearts of all Yorubas worldwide.


Recall that Prince Adesina and Princess Adesewa are the 3rd of Ooni’s children having had a Princess Adeola and son, Prince Tadenikawo Ogunwusi.
