Idris Okuneye, a well-known and contentious cross-dresser also known as Bobrisky, has been unable to fulfill the bail conditions set by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bobrisky was taken into custody by the Lagos State Command of the EFCC on Wednesday on charges of naira mutilation, naira abuse, and naira note spraying.
EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale revealed this development on Thursday, stating, “He has been granted administrative bail but has yet to fulfill the bail terms.”
The EFCC, in a statement released on its X page on Thursday, explained that they summoned the 31-year-old following a video report of him flaunting and spraying bundles of new naira notes at the premiere of “Ajakaju,” a film by Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao, at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024.
The EFCC further stated that their investigation uncovered that Bobrisky had committed the alleged offense at various other event centers and parties at different times.
