Nicki Minaj Shatters Records as the Top-Grossing Female Rapper on Tour

Date:

Nicki Minaj, the trailblazing titan of hip-hop, has carved her name into the bedrock of music history, shattering records as the most successful touring female rapper.

This monumental achievement has been officially recognized by Touring Data, a leading American statistics company.

On a memorable night of March 30, 2024, Madison Square Garden in New York was electrified as Minaj’s concert set a new benchmark for the highest-grossing concert by a female rapper, amassing a staggering $2.858 million.

Her ‘Pink Friday 2’ tour has now ascended the throne as the most successful tour by a female rapper. The tour has amassed a jaw-dropping $34.9 million from the sale of 220,000 tickets across its first 17 shows, a feat proudly announced by Touring Data on Twitter.

Intriguingly, this colossal revenue of $34.9 million is merely the tip of the iceberg, representing only 30% of the tour. By the time the curtain falls on the tour later this year, Minaj is projected to have grossed an astronomical $100 million.

In a previous interaction, the “Queen of Rap” had expressed her openness to include Nigeria in her ‘Pink Friday 2’ tour, contingent on sufficient interest from her fans. This came in response to a Nigerian fan’s disappointment over Africa’s exclusion from her world tour venues. The anticipation is palpable as fans eagerly await confirmation on whether an African country will be included in the tour.
