Nollywood actor Denola Grey has expressed that the recent imprisonment of crossdresser Bobrisky is unrelated to the naira abuse for which he was found guilty.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced Bobrisky to six months in prison without the option of a fine on Friday, after convicting him of mutilating the Naira.
Grey responded by suggesting that there’s more to the sentence than what appears on the surface. He believes that Bobrisky is being unfairly targeted and used as a “scapegoat.”
Posting on his social media handle, he wrote: “It’s clear to everyone that this isn’t about spraying the Naira. They’re making her a scapegoat and using this nonsense as a justification.
“I despise bullies. Regrettably, this country is teeming with them.”
