Renowned entrepreneur and socialite, Emeka Okonkwo, better known as E-Money, has pledged to provide for the offspring of the recently deceased Nollywood actor, Junior Pope.
Tragically, Junior Pope and three others perished when their boat overturned on the Anam River in Anambra State, as they were returning from a film set.
In his grief, E-Money revealed that Junior Pope’s final words were a testament to his dedication to raising his three sons. He has vowed to honor the late actor’s wish by assuming responsibility for his children.
In a heartfelt post on his Instagram page, he wrote: “A week has passed since you left this world, leaving a deep sense of loss that echoes not just among us, but across Africa and beyond.
“Your absence, as both a friend and a brother, is deeply felt, JP. The burden of your departure weighs heavily on our hearts, but we find solace in the belief that God will give us the strength to continue and uphold the legacy you’ve left us.
“We fondly recall your last words on the boat, ‘I am the only one born to raise my three children,’ and we solemnly promise to honor that commitment.
“Your children now find comfort in the arms of the Okonkwo family, and we, as part of that family, pledge to care for them as you would have wanted. Your absence leaves a tangible void, JP, and your memory will always be treasured. Rest in peace, knowing that you are deeply loved, and may God’s blessings surround your soul, your family, and all who cherish you in their hearts.”
