The party’s primary election witnessed fervent participation across the 18 council areas of the state, with party members and supporters eagerly casting their votes.

Governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory reflects the trust and confidence party members have in his leadership. His closest rival, Mayowa Akinfolarin, trailed behind, while Chief Olusola Oke secured the third position. The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Governorship Primary Election Committee and Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Ododo.

Governor Ododo emphasized the importance of unity within the party, echoing the words of President Bola Tinubu: “A political contest is a quest to serve by brothers and sisters from the same family, living in the same room. After the election, we must continue to live in the same house.” He urged party members to rally behind Aiyedatiwa as they prepare for the November 16 election.
