Chelsea secured a crucial 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge, dealing a significant blow to Spurs’ top-four aspirations.

Chelsea took the lead with a towering header from Trevoh Chalobah, courtesy of Conor Gallagher’s free-kick. Spurs’ vulnerability in defending set-pieces was exposed once again

Despite some improvement from Spurs, Chelsea doubled their advantage. Nicolas Jackson headed home after Cole Palmer’s free-kick rebounded off the crossbar.

This win ensures that Mauricio Pochettino has completed the double over his former club, following Chelsea’s 4-1 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in November.

The Blues now trail Newcastle by just two points in the league table, while Spurs remain seven points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa with only one game in hand.
