Wizkid vs. Burna Boy: Terry G’s Take on Timeless Legacy and Current Dominance

Date:

Terry G, the Akpako Master, has once again stirred up the music scene with his bold proclamations. In a series of posts on his X formally (Twitter) handle, he has crowned Wizkid as the greatest Nigerian artist of all time, while also acknowledging Burna Boy’s current dominance in the industry.

Terry G unequivocally declares that Wizkid is the undisputed king of Afrobeats when it comes to all-time greatness. His legendary status and contributions to the culture cannot be ignored.

In Terry G’s words, “Muthaf*ck the Big 3, ngga it’s just Big Wiz… ngga bum!!! Wiz is him.”

He reminisces about Wizkid’s impact on the industry, emphasizing that he’s not merely chasing clout but genuinely appreciating what Wizkid has done for the culture.

Terry G’s admiration for Wizkid extends beyond the current trends; he firmly believes in Wizkid’s lasting legacy

Terry G also acknowledges that Burna Boy currently holds the title of the biggest Nigerian artist. Burna’s innovative musical approach and global recognition have solidified his position. In another post he wrote:

“[I am] Not posting Wiz to chase clout, just reminiscing all he’s done for the culture!!!

“I’m contented with what I have worked for lol… but he’s him, I repeat!!!”

He added, “Concerning what I said on Honest Bunch Podcast that was posted few weeks ago, my take still stands.

“Yeah currently, Burna is the biggest, but when it comes to all timer, I’ll give it to Wiz… y’all can’t deny the works and the legendary status he built for himself… WIZ is him!”

However, Terry G draws a distinction between the present and the timeless. While Burna shines brightly now, Wizkid’s works and legendary status endure through the years.

Terry G’s words echo sentiments shared by millions: Wizkid’s greatness stands the test of time, while Burna Boy shines brightly in the present.

The ongoing beef between Wizkid and Davido continues to captivate fans, but Terry G’s allegiance lies firmly with the legendary Wizkid.
