Cole Palmer, the talented midfielder from Chelsea, has been named the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for April 2024. This achievement marks the first time Palmer has won the prestigious award. Notably, he is also the first Chelsea player to claim this honor since Eden Hazard in September 2018.

Palmer’s outstanding performance in April included scoring seven goals in just four appearances for the Blues. His remarkable goal-scoring spree propelled him to the top of the league’s goal charts. Additionally, he contributed an assist, directly impacting a total of eight goalsduring the month. No other player could match his impressive tally.

  • Thu 04 Apr (H): Chelsea vs. Manchester United (4-3 win)
    • Palmer scored a hat-trick, including the equalizing and winning goals in second-half stoppage time.
  • Sun 07 Apr (A): Sheffield United vs. Chelsea (2-2 draw)
  • Mon 15 Apr (H): Chelsea vs. Everton (6-0 win)
    • Palmer netted four times, becoming the first Chelsea player to score in seven consecutive Premier League home appearances.
  • Sat 27 Apr (A): Aston Villa vs. Chelsea (2-2 draw)

His remarkable achievements also put him in contention for the Castrol Golden Boot award this season. Notably, he achieved a remarkable feat by completing a hat-trick within just 29 minutes of kick-off in one of the matches.

Previously, Palmer had won the PL2 Player of the Month award back in October 2020 while playing for Manchester City. Now, as a Chelsea player, he has added the Premier League Player of the Month accolade to his list of achievements.
