Ahead of their match against Manchester United, Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, praised the seasoned player, Jorginho.
Arsenal is set to face the Red Devils at Old Trafford on March 12. This match is considered crucial for the Gunners, who are aiming to secure the Premier League title this season. Jorginho, who transferred from Chelsea to Arsenal for €11.3 million in January 2023, recently extended his contract at the Emirates for another year.
Since his arrival, he has been alternated in and out of the starting lineup, but has proven to be reliable and consistent when needed.
When asked about Jorginho’s significance in his plans, 42-year-old Arteta responded, “He’s an invaluable asset for all coaches due to his understanding of the game and his excellent communication and coaching skills. It’s challenging to find a better role model than him.”
Currently, Arsenal leads the Premier League standings with 83 points in 36 matches.
Manchester City, managed by Pep Guardiola, trails just one point behind them, with an extra match yet to be played.
