Elsie Okpocha, the former wife of Basket Mouth, recently took a break from her hectic routine to address the online community who often suggest she should make amends with her ex-spouse.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the mother of two expressed her reasons for not intending to reunite with her ex-husband, responding to the regular advice for reconciliation.
Elsie Okpocha stressed that no woman would willingly abandon her marriage unless all possible efforts to salvage the relationship have been exhausted. The ex-wife of Basket Mouth encouraged people to respect her personal life, pointing out that the end of a marriage does not indicate a lack of effort.
She stated, “I can’t comprehend why a woman would share a photo or video of her enjoying her life, and you’d see comments like, ‘return to your husband’s home; I know you’re not content; You’re merely feigning happiness.’
“Why would you assume a woman would abruptly leave her marriage? It’s not that simple; both parties would have attempted to resolve their issues and when it’s clear that it’s not working out, they part ways.”
She further added, “Moreover, it’s none of your concern to begin with; why is it an issue if a woman chooses to move forward with her life? Why not suggest the man involved to return to his wife’s home instead?”
