Nigerian singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, better known by his stage name Spyro, has openly expressed his admiration for Nengi Hampson, a star from the reality show Big Brother Naija. He shared a story about their first meeting.
Spyro took to Instagram to recount an interview where he was asked about the female celebrity he would prefer not to be left alone with. He humorously named Nengi, explaining that he doesn’t pretend to be as virtuous as Jesus, but rather, he is just a follower. As such, he chooses to avoid being alone with the former BBNaija star to resist temptation. “In a recent interview, I was asked which female celebrity I would never want to be left alone with. Can you guess who I named? It was Nengi. I don’t pretend to be Jesus, I’m just his follower. So, I avoid any situation that involves Nengi to prevent any misunderstanding,” he wrote.
Spyro also narrated an incident at a show where Nengi was seated directly across from him. The singer of “Who Is Your Guy” made a conscious effort to keep his thoughts in check until he eventually left the venue. “I bumped into her at a show where she was seated right across from me. I kept telling myself to stay focused until I finally had to leave,” he added.
