Mosun Filani, a renowned actress in Nollywood, has shed light on the rationale behind her temporary departure from the film industry.
The actress made a comeback last year after a prolonged absence from the silver screen. In a recent dialogue with Oyinmomo TV, Mosun articulated her decision to place her children above her profession, which resulted in her hiatus from acting.
She divulged that she put her career on hold to concentrate on her children, underscoring the transitory nature of time.
Mosun asserted that business was never at the forefront for her.
She expressed that once children embark on their university journey, they step out from under their parents’ wings. Therefore, she wanted to ensure she imparted them with good values, particularly in the context of today’s social media landscape. “Business was not my main concern. I chose to take that hiatus. I took an extended break for my children to mature. The time they spend with us is limited. Once a child enters university, they are no longer under their parents’ supervision, whether we accept it or not.
“So, how many years do you get to spend with your children? To guide them?
“Some individuals are even suspected of leaking their own explicit tapes, merely to gain followers. Observe the exponential growth of someone’s Instagram page following a scandalous post.
“That aspect is something that greatly concerns me,” she declared.
