Renowned music producer and industry executive, Olumide Ogunade, better known as ID Cabasa, has released a new single titled ‘Olufunmi’. This track features a unique blend of talents including BOJ, Odumodublvck, Fireboy DML, and Joeboy.
The song, now available on all streaming platforms, is a fresh take on the 2006 hit ‘Olufunmi’ originally performed by the well-known RnB group, Styl-Plus, which is no longer active.
In ‘Olufunmi’, the artists serenade a woman who shares the same name as the song. They express their deep affection for her and plead with her to stay. Despite each artist having a distinct sound, they manage to harmoniously blend their vocals to craft a musical work of art.
ID Cabasa has made a significant impact in the Nigerian music scene and has been recognized with numerous awards. The boy band Styl Plus, whose hit single ‘Olufunmi’ dominated the airwaves in the mid-2000s, was a sensation in the industry. This new rendition pays homage to their legacy.
