BREAKING: Bayern confirm Vincent Kompany as their new head coach until summer 2027

Date:

Vincent Kompany has agreed to become the new manager of FC Bayern Munich. The German club pursued Kompany after facing several rejections in their search for a successor to Thomas Tuchel.

Kompany’s deal is set to run until 2027, with Bayern paying Burnley £10.2 million in compensation. The contract has been confirmed, sealed, and signed!

Vincent Kompany

Kompany, a former Manchester City player and four-time Premier League winner, has built a solid reputation as a manager during his time at Anderlecht and Burnley.

His coaching journey led him to guide Burnley to the Championship title in 2023, but unfortunately, the Clarets were relegated from the Premier League this season.

Kompany said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge at FC Bayern”.

“As a coach, you have to stand for who you are as a person: I love having possession of the ball, being creative and we also have to be aggressive on the pitch and brave”.

“I’m now looking forward to the most basic things: working with the players, building a team. When the foundation is in place, success will follow”.

Now, he’s set to take charge at the Allianz Arena and lead Bayern Munich to further success.
