Cubana Chief Priest’s Business Relocation from South East to Lagos

Date:

Pascal Okechukwu, a celebrity barman and socialite better known as Cubana Chief Priest, recently disclosed that his decision to move his business to Lagos State was driven by the escalating insecurity in the Southeast.

In an interview with BBC Igbo, he expressed his concerns about the increasing fear of kidnappings and killings in the region, which had deterred his customers who used to visit regularly.

He stated, “The South-East is grappling with widespread hunger. Unfortunately, it’s our own community members who are feeding criminals with information. The affluent became targets, leading them to cease their homecoming during celebrations. That’s the primary reason I relocated my business to Lagos.”

Cubana Chief Priest, renowned for his extravagant lifestyle, vibrant personality, and flamboyant displays of affluence, is a Nigerian entrepreneur deeply involved in the nightlife industry. However, his life took a dramatic turn when he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, following Bobrisky’s arrest.

He was arraigned the following day and pleaded not guilty. The Federal High Court in Lagos State subsequently granted him bail of N10m with two sureties of equivalent amount.

The case was later settled out of court by the EFCC on Wednesday, June 6, 2024.
