Anthony Joshua is set to take on Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight championship at Wembley on September 21.
British boxers Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois are set to battle for the IBF heavyweight title at Wembley Stadium on 21 September.
Oleksandr Usyk, the undisputed champion, relinquished the belt, leading to Dubois being promoted to champion status.
In a video message on his X formally (Twitter) page Usyk said “Anthony and Daniel, I know the IBF title is important to you. It is my present to you on 21 September,”
Dubois boasts a 21-2 record, compared to Joshua’s 28 wins and three losses, resulting in a total of 45 knockouts between them.
This will mark Wembley’s first boxing event since Fury’s victory over Dillian Whyte in December 2022.
Additionally, Joshua will be making his fourth appearance at the venue, whereas Dubois will be headlining a major event in a 60,000-plus capacity venue for the first time.
Joshua, a two-time world champion, is on a four-fight winning streak with three stoppages in his last three bouts, while Dubois has secured victories in his past two fights.
The winner of this bout will be in a prime position to face the winner of Usyk-Fury.
