Reform UK Condemns Campaigners for Racist and Homophobic Remarks

Undercover Channel 4 journalists have exposed disturbing comments made by Reform UK members during their campaign for Nigel Farage in Clacton.

The secret recordings captured conversations involving Rob Bates, a senior Reform UK campaigner, and two other party-linked individuals.

One of the men appears to make homophobic remarks, describing a Pride flag on a police car as a “degenerate flag.” He questions why the police are promoting it and repeatedly suggests that members of the LGBT+ community are paedophiles. Additionally, he criticizes police attendance at Pride events and advocates for a future government where police officers would be paramilitaries, not traditional law enforcement.

Mr. Bates, during the same conversation, claimed that Reform UK had exceeded the legal campaign spending limit in their efforts to elect Mr. Farage. However, he later clarified that his statement was a joke and that he is not responsible for campaign spending.

Further footage reveals racist, homophobic, and Islamophobic slurs apparently made by Andrew Parker, a canvasser for Mr. Farage.

Parker used a racial slur when referring to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who is of Indian descent. Reform UK has condemned these comments, stating that campaign spending remains within legal limits.
