Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, has shed light on the club’s decision not to secure the services of Victor Osimhen last summer.
Osimhen, who had an impressive season with Napoli, attracted interest from several top European clubs.
In light of Karim Benzema’s departure to Al Ittihad, Ancelotti emphasized that the signing of Jude Bellingham was seen as a suitable remedy for Benzema’s absence.
Ancelotti shared his perspective during an interview with Radio Serie A, stating, “No (we didn’t sign Osimhen) because I think the club thought that Benzema’s absence could be remedied by purchasing (Jude) Bellingham.”
