Popular comedian Woli Arole has openly criticized those who repeatedly condemn the famous reality show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), each time it airs. Arole’s sharp retort comes as a response to the persistent backlash the show faces from certain quarters.
Addressing the critics, Arole emphasized the importance of taking proactive steps if one desires a different kind of content on television.
He pointed out that there are numerous affluent Christians who have the financial capability to sponsor their own reality shows that align with their values.
“Nobody should complain about BBNaija ooo. Do your own godly reality TV shows, too!! If you don’t sponsor them, you can’t tell them how they should behave. Do yours!! There are billionaires that are Christians; drop money for godly TV shows. Shikena,” Arole stated.
Arole call for action over criticism, suggesting that instead of merely condemning existing shows, stakeholders should invest in producing content that reflects their values.
