President Tinubu Condoles with Prof Abubakar

President Bola Tinubu has offered heartfelt condolences to esteemed elder statesman and former Minister of Defence, Professor Iya Abubakar, on the passing of his beloved wife, Hajiya Ummu Abubakar. Hajiya Abubakar, who was also the mother-in-law of National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, passed away in Abuja at the age of 78.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu praised the deceased for her unwavering devotion to God and her unshakeable commitment to upholding family values. He noted that she will be fondly remembered for her numerous good deeds and the positive impact she had on those around her.

President Tinubu extended his deepest sympathies to Professor Abubakar and his family, praying for God’s mercy and comfort during this difficult time. He also urged the family to continue upholding the good name and legacy left behind by Hajiya Abubakar, ensuring that her memory lives on through their actions and endeavors.

The President’s statement reads: “President Bola Tinubu commiserates with Professor Iya Abubakar over the passing of his wife, Ummu Abubakar. She will be remembered for her devotion to God and dedication to family values. President Tinubu prays for God’s mercy on the departed and urges her family to maintain the good name she left behind.”
