Ooni of Ife & Olori Folashade Welcome Baby Boy

Date:

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his fourth wife, Olori Folashade, have joyfully welcomed their first child together, a baby boy. The monarch took to social media to share the delightful news, posting a heartwarming picture of himself and the new mother, accompanied by a caption expressing gratitude to God for the blessing.

The Ooni’s announcement read: “To God be the glory, great things he has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the mother side of Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and father side of Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling house combined to the Royal throne of Oduduwa.”

This joyful news comes just five months after the royal family celebrated the arrival of a set of twins born to one of the Ooni’s wives, Olori Tobiloba, in March. The twins were formally received by the Ooni in his palace in Ile-Ife in August, five months and two days after their birth was announced.

The Ooni’s caption also mentioned that both mother and child are doing well, thanks to God Almighty and in line with the spirits of their ancestors. He ended the post with the hashtag #Otisese, signifying the joy and celebration that comes with the new addition to the royal family. This blessing is indeed a great one for the House of Oduduwa and the people of Ile-Ife.
