The Lagos State Government has announced a three-month extension of its work-from-home policy for state employees. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved this extension, which was detailed in a circular signed by the state’s Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday.
Initially implemented on February 28, the policy aimed to mitigate the impact of fuel subsidy removal on state workers by allowing flexible work arrangements. Under this policy, employees on grade levels 01 to 14 were allowed to work from home two days a week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 could work remotely one day a week.
The extension, which began on September 4, reflects the policy’s positive impact on productivity across various state ministries, departments, and agencies. Governor Sanwo-Olu’s decision highlights a commitment to maintaining employee well-being and operational efficiency amidst ongoing economic adjustments.
