Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, has emphasized his commitment to ensuring the full implementation of the 13 agreements signed between China and Nigeria during President Bola Tinubu’s recent state visit to China.Ambassador Dunhai highlighted the significance of the visit, marking a new era in the bilateral relationship between the two countries. He revealed that the agreements cover a wide range of sectors, including economic development, human resources, media exchanges, and the export of peanuts to China.
One notable agreement involves the application of China’s Beidou Satellite Navigation System.“These 13 cooperation documents encompass around 19 joint projects, with additional arrangements signed between state governments and Chinese companies,” Dunhai stated. He stressed that his priority is to ensure that these agreements are effectively implemented.
The ambassador also noted that the visit would lead to increased activity between both nations, with delegations traveling frequently between China and Nigeria. He expressed his eagerness to work with all sectors in Nigeria to translate these agreements into tangible outcomes.
Dunhai concluded by stating his excitement to build on the strong foundation of China-Nigeria relations and further strengthen the collaboration between the two nations in the coming years.
