Liam Payne, former member of the popular boy band One Direction, has tragically passed away at the age of 31.
The singer was reportedly on holiday in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, when he fell from the third floor of a hotel.
Payne gained fame as a member of One Direction after their memorable 2011 X Factor appearance, alongside bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan. Today, the world mourns the loss of an iconic figure in the music industry.
The incident occurred earlier today, with reports alleging that police were called to the hotel due to a man acting aggressively. Alberto Crescenti, the local ambulance manager, stated that emergency services were alerted at 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system.
“At 17.11, a SAME team arrived and confirmed the death of a man who was later identified as a singer in a musical group,” Crescenti explained. “Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life due to his fall, so resuscitation was not possible.”
According to Crescenti, Payne fell approximately 40 meters and sustained severe injuries
