Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has revealed that she met her husband, Ned Nwoko, during an outing with one of her ex-boyfriends.
Daniels shared that her mother and entire family were initially opposed to her marriage to the Delta North Senator.
During an Instagram live session, Daniels explained, “I went to visit my boyfriend and was annoyed about going sightseeing, but there I met a charming man. The moral of the story is that your boyfriend should not prevent you from meeting your husband. When I started with my husband, I forgot about having boyfriends; of course, I had like 20. When people think I don’t have a choice, I’m like, what? People assumed my mum forced me, but she was against the marriage; my whole family said no.”
Nwoko and Daniels tied the knot in May 2019 in Aniocha Local Government Area, Delta State, despite their significant age difference. Explaining why he married the 23-year-old actress, the 63-year-old politician said, “I married her because she is from my place. I wanted to marry a wife from my place, and I was looking for the right person. By the time I met her, I knew she must be the one.”
