Skit maker and content creator Bae U Barbie has taken a playful jab at comedian and actor Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, in the latest episode of his show, ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’. While hosting AY, Bae U insinuated that AY’s career exemplifies that comedians don’t necessarily need to be funny to achieve success.
“Our guest today is a reminder that you don’t have to be funny to be a successful comedian in Nigeria,” Bae U remarked while introducing AY in a snippet from the upcoming episode of his show. The snippet has since gone viral, eliciting mixed reactions online.
It’s worth noting that AY has previously mentioned in an interview that he doesn’t consider himself among the funniest comedians in Nigeria.
