Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has projected that her new movie, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa,’ will make N5 billion when it hits cinemas this December.
In a viral video featuring some of the movie’s cast, Akindele expressed her optimism about the film’s success, stating, “We are making N5 billion this year.”
If the movie achieves this projected figure, it will surpass the record set by another of Akindele’s films, ‘A Tribe Called Judah,’ which became the first Nigerian movie to gross one billion naira. ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ premiered on Sunday night in Lagos, with various celebrities in attendance, including Akindele’s estranged friend, Eniola Badmus.
