Skepta Responds as Portable Criticizes Olamide: ‘I Might Be Next’

Date:

British rapper Skepta has raised eyebrows after controversial Nigerian singer Portable publicly criticized another former collaborator.

Portable, who is notorious for frequently calling out his associates and benefactors, recently targeted renowned rapper and music executive Olamide, mocking him over his alleged fallout with former signee Asake.

During his tirade, Portable claimed that Olamide merely provided a verse on the remix of his song “Zazu” rather than offering a record deal. He also accused Olamide of “snatching” his producer, dancer, and promoter.

Fans, alarmed by the situation, began expressing concerns for Skepta, who had featured Portable on his track “Tony Montana” last year. This concern led to the UK rapper trending on X.

In response, Skepta posted, “Why am I trending? Lol.”

A fan commented, “I think you know why,” to which Skepta replied, “I’ve just seen Portable is dragging somebody again. Apparently, I’m next. We dey wait lol.”
