American rapper Curtis Jackson, popularly known as 50 Cent, has revealed that he rejected a $3 million offer to perform at a rally for Republican Party candidate Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden in New York. He disclosed this during an interview on The Breakfast Club.
50 Cent confirmed that he received a call and was also asked to perform his song “Many Men, Wish Death” at this year’s Republican National Convention for a similar amount. He explained that he turned down the offers due to his apprehension about politics and its controversial nature.
“I didn’t even go far… I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics,” he said. “It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”
