Are you stuck for inspiration for where to travel next this year?

Well, new research has found which destinations is set to be big in 2024, all thanks to Airbnb.

Dusseldorf in Germany is a holiday hotspot to go and visit this year, according to Airbnb

They looked at worldwide searches from January 1, 2023, to September 30, 2023, for travel dates based on next year.

And while you can expect some firm favourite family destinations, there are a few surprises that you might want to add to your travel list for this year.

  1. Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
  2. Warsaw, Poland
  3. Osaka, Japan
  4. Kyoto, Japan
  5. Buenos Aires, Argentina
  6. Marrakech, Morroco
  7. Salvador, Brazil
  8. Paris, France
  9. Dusseldorf, Germany
  10. Puerto del Carmen, Canary Islands, Spain

Indianapolis came top in the most-searched destinations in 2024.

The US state is known as the racing capital of the world thanks to its 500-mile-long car race called the Indy 500.

Elsewhere four of the top 10 travel hotspots were in Europe, with Paris set to host the Summer Olympics this year.

Meanwhile, other surprising destinations included were Salvador in Brazil and Buenos Aires in Argentina – both located in the stunning South America.

So if you’re looking for places to explore in 2024 be sure to add these to the list.
