Tems and ATL Jacob clash over Future’s song featuring Drake

Date:

Nigerian sensation Tems and American hitmaker ATL Jacob are embroiled in a heated feud over the sample clearance of Future’s ‘Wait For U’, which also features Drake.

The controversy erupted after ATL Jacob alleged in a podcast that Tems was reluctant to give her consent for the sample, which he said was taken from her song ‘Damages’. He claimed that Future had to enlist Drake’s help, who is close friends with Tems, to persuade her to approve the sample.

However, Tems and her manager denied the allegations, saying that they had no issues with the sample and that they were paid fairly for it. They accused ATL Jacob of lying and trying to tarnish Tems’ reputation.

The situation escalated when ATL Jacob took to X to defend himself, saying that he had proof of the $100,000 wire transfer he made to Tems and her team. He challenged them to find one instance where he spoke negatively about her.

Tems fired back at ATL Jacob, calling him a liar and offering him $1 million to stop spreading false stories about her. She wrote, “Its not about saying anything negative. Stop telling lies. I’ll give you 1 million.”

The online spat has sparked reactions from fans and celebrities, who have taken sides in the dispute. Some have praised Tems for standing up for herself, while others have criticized ATL Jacob for disrespecting her.
