Nigerian afrobeats sensation, Davido, was left speechless when he received a lavish gift from his friend and Atletico Madrid star, Memphis Depay, on the latter’s 30th birthday.
Depay, who celebrated his birthday on February 13, 2024, invited Davido to perform at his private party in Spain. The footballer, who is also a rapper and singer, joined Davido on stage to perform some of their songs together.
However, the highlight of the night was when Depay presented Davido with a stunning Rolex wristwatch, worth millions of naira, as a token of appreciation and friendship.
Davido, was overwhelmed by the gesture and took to his Instagram story to express his gratitude. He wrote:
“N*gga bought me a @rolex on his own birthday !!! I never receive gifts I’ve always been the one to gift Pple ! I love and appreciate you @memphisdepay … also lemme get some of that hair Lool.”
Davido and Depay have been friends for over two years, since they met in Barcelona in 2022. Depay, who was playing for the Catalan club at the time, gifted Davido a customized jersey with his name and number on it.
Fans of both celebrities were delighted by the heartwarming exchange and flooded social media with congratulatory messages and compliments.
