Nollywood actress and content creator, Iyabo Ojo, has clapped back at a troll who accused her of being ‘desperate’ for her lover, Paulo Okoye.
The actress, who recently went public with her relationship with the businessman, shared a beautiful painting of them on her Instagram page. She captioned it with a sweet message, reaffirming her love for Paulo.
“Forever is the deal, my love,” she wrote, adding a heart emoji.
However, not everyone was happy for the couple. Some netizens took to the comment section to mock Iyabo for constantly expressing her love for Paulo, while he seemed to be less vocal about his feelings for her.
One of them, identified as Chiamzy, wrote:
“This woman is so desperate eh, every time forever is the deal where by this man has never said this for once. Nne biko slow down ok. Na Igbo man you are dealing with o, na man suppose dey do all these obey wey you dey do, nawao. Forever no, eternity ni.”
Iyabo Ojo was not having any of it. She fired back at the troll, calling him a hater who is pressed by her love life.
“Forever is the deal, hater. Kpai yourself,” she replied.
The troll continued to taunt the actress, saying that she was desperate and seeking validation from Paulo. He also dared her to block him or hide his comments.
Iyabo Ojo responded by asking him who he was and why he was so bothered by her relationship.
“Who you be? Why e dey pain you?” she asked.
The actress also received support from some of her fans and colleagues, who praised her for standing up for herself and her man. They also congratulated her on finding love again and wished her happiness.
Iyabo Ojo and Paulo Okoye made their relationship official on her 45th birthday on December 21st, 2023. The actress confirmed the reports that she was dating the businessman, as she posted a video collage of their moments together.
In an interview, Paulo Okoye revealed how Iyabo Ojo had invaded his space and snatched him from his several side chicks. Iyabo Ojo also joined in, stating that they were off the market.
The couple said that their relationship was for enjoyment and not for having kids, since they both have two children from previous relationships.
Iyabo Ojo was previously married to the father of her two kids, Priscilla and Festus Ojo, Mr. Ademidun Ojo. The marriage ended shortly after the birth of their second child.
The actress said that she experienced poverty for the first time when she married her ex-husband, who lived in a face-me-I-slap-you apartment. She said that she was craving attention at that time, which her ex-husband provided for her.
She also said that she did not regret her marriage, as it gave her two wonderful children and made her stronger.
