President Tinubu vows to bring abductors to justice

Date:

In a swift and decisive response to the recent kidnappings in Borno and Kaduna states, President Bola Tinubu has ordered the security and intelligence agencies to rescue the victims and punish the culprits.

The President expressed his outrage and condemnation of the abductions, which targeted vulnerable groups such as internally-displaced persons and students. He said he would not tolerate such acts of terror and violence against innocent Nigerians.

“I have received briefing from security chiefs on the two incidents, and I am confident that the victims will be rescued. Nothing else is acceptable to me and the waiting family members of these abducted citizens. Justice will be decisively administered,” President Tinubu said in a statement released by his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale.

The statement was also shared on the Twitter handle of the special adviser, information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Saturday, March 9.

According to the statement, the President directed the security and intelligence agencies to work together and coordinate their efforts to ensure the swift and safe recovery of the victims. He also urged them to intensify their operations to prevent further attacks and secure the lives and property of Nigerians.

The President also sympathised with the families of the victims, assuring them that they would soon be reunited with their loved ones. He called on all Nigerians to support the government and the security forces in the fight against terrorism and banditry.
