Renowned Nigerian transgender figure, Bobrisky, has characterized his transformation into a woman as ‘smooth’.
Sharing a snapshot on his Instagram account, Bobrisky conveyed his joy over the transition, stating that he encountered no health complications during the surgical process.
In the Instagram post, Bobrisky expressed his gratitude to his medical team, both in Nigeria and overseas, for their support in facilitating his transition into femininity. “My journey transitioning into a woman has been seamless, with no health issues. Everything is going smoothly for me. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all my doctors, both locally and internationally. You all did a fantastic job with my body,” he penned.
Who Is Bobrisky?
Bobrisky, whose real name is Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, is a well-known Nigerian transgender woman and LGBT personality.
Born on August 31, 1991, she gained prominence for her presence on social media platforms like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram. She even went viral on TikTok for creating the “bobrisky dance” in 2021.
Bobrisky is also recognized for her controversial nature as she often discusses LGBTQ+ issues and advertises fashion and beauty products on social media2. She became famous for documenting her transition on social media.
She has been a subject of several controversies, but despite this, she has a huge following on social media. On July 8, 2021, she revealed a new physical appearance after undergoing surgery to become more feminine.
Bobrisky is not only a social media personality but also an entrepreneur and a beauty therapist. She studied and graduated with a BSc in Accounting from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria.
