Brymo Declares He’d Choose Hell Over Signing With Davido, Wizkid, or Burna Boy

Date:

Brymo, a singer known for his boldness in expressing his views and desires, has once again stirred controversy.

Despite the criticism he often faces, Brymo never hesitates to voice his opinions, be it through his choice of album and track titles or his appearances in music videos.

One such instance was when he openly demanded a sexual relationship from Simi in exchange for a music collaboration, a revelation he made through a voice note posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Brymo’s talent is undeniable, with many considering him one of the best vocalists in Nigeria, if not Africa. He takes pride in his talent and doesn’t shy away from acknowledging it.

Brymo, whose real name is Olawale Oloforo, is known for hit songs like Oleku, Ara, and Good Morning. Recently, he shared his views in a QnA session on ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ with social media personality, Adebayo Ridwan Abidemi @isbae_u.

When asked if he would prefer to sign with Davido, Wizkid, or Burna Boy, Brymo responded, “Don’t worry, I will just go to hell. They need recording deals.”

The 37-year-old artist, who previously worked with MI Abaga, Jesse Jagz, and Ice Prince at Chocolate City, revealed that he was offered millions in 2012 to revive his career, but he declined the offer. He left Chocolate City because he felt his hit songs weren’t yielding the results he desired. He chose to strike out on his own and focus on creating meaningful music.

Brymo also mentioned that unlike Burna Boy, who referenced him in his lyrics saying, “Hustle make you no fall off like Brymo,” he has no plans to return the favor.
