Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, also known as Doyin, a star from the reality show Big Brother Naija, has criticized singer Wizkid for his pursuit of popularity on social media.
Wizkid stirred up controversy on X platform on Monday by throwing indirect insults at Davido and Don Jazzy.
In response, Doyin expressed that the Starboy leader should stop seeking attention and concentrate on creating music. She specifically criticized Wizkid for showing disrespect towards Don Jazzy.
On her Instagram page, she posted, “Don Jazzy remains the JayZ of the Nigerian music scene. Disrespecting him only shows your lack of judgment. The goal isn’t to seek popularity, but to produce hits!”
In a similar vein, reality TV star and media personality, Tacha, issued a warning to Wizkid that any derogatory remarks or disrespect towards Don Jazzy will not be tolerated.
In a video message shared on her social media, Tacha highlighted Don Jazzy’s significant contributions to the Nigerian music industry.
She asserted that without Don Jazzy, the Afrobeats industry would be half of what it is today.
Tacha stated, “We will not tolerate any slander against Don Jazzy. His influence on the entertainment industry cannot be overstated.
“If you were to remove Don Jazzy’s contributions to the industry, you’d be taking away half of Afrobeats. Who would you listen to then? Don Jazzy has nurtured numerous global superstars.
“He is someone who doesn’t limit himself to just the music industry. Don Jazzy is there for everyone, regardless of their status.”
In the meantime, Don Jazzy has responded to Wizkid’s indirect insult by unfollowing the Starboy leader on Instagram.
