Canadian superstar Drake has achieved a historic milestone by surpassing 100 billion streams on Spotify across all his songs.
He’s the first artist ever to reach this incredible number of streams on the platform. To put it in perspective, Taylor Swift is the closest to the Toronto native at No. 2, with 84.4 billion streams. Quite the lead, right?
The breakdown of Drake’s 100 billion Spotify streams shows an average of 234 million streams per song, and an average of 5 billion streams per album.
His most streamed song on the platform is his 2016 hit song ‘One Dance’ featuring Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Wizkid, and British pop star, Kyla, which has garnered 3.2 billion streams.
‘One Dance’ holds the Guinness World Record for the first song to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.
In other news, Pharrell seems to have joined the bandwagon of artists taking shots at Drake. His new track “Double Life” has fans speculating about hidden messages, but opinions are divided.
