Mr. Macaroni Urges Celebrities to Pursue Legal Action Against Trolls Instead of Unlawful Detentions

Date:

Prominent comedian Mr. Macaroni has made a public appeal to fellow celebrities, advising them to take legal action against online trolls rather than resorting to the police for “illegal” arrests or detentions.

This statement follows instances where he himself has been targeted by trolls allegedly sent by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a post on his social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), Mr. Macaroni expressed his disapproval of using police force to handle personal grievances, highlighting the potential dangers and abuses of power that such actions entail.

“If anyone insults you or defames your character, go to court and seek justice,” Mr. Macaroni urged. “APC trolls insult me and tell so many lies against my person. I have never for once used the police to illegally arrest or detain anyone and never will I.”

He emphasized the serious risks associated with misusing police authority to detain citizens without due process. Mr. Macaroni warned that such practices could lead to significant repercussions, urging his colleagues to consider the broader implications of their actions.

“There is serious danger in using the police to illegally detain citizens,” he cautioned. “I hope those of you supporting this abuse of power won’t cry foul when you or your loved ones are the victims.”

Mr. Macaroni clarified that his stance does not condone online harassment or bullying, which he firmly condemns. He shared his personal experiences with such abuse, acknowledging the mental toll it can take. However, he maintained that the appropriate response is to seek justice through the court system.

“I am a victim myself and I know how mentally damaging it is. But go to court and seek justice like the rest of us do,” he wrote. “Don’t use your friends in government to illegally detain citizens. It may favor you now but think about tomorrow when you no longer have that power or the closeness to that power.”

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Macaroni urged his peers to consider the long-term consequences of taking the law into their own hands. “It might not be you, it might be someone you care about. What will become of us if everyone takes law into their own hands?” he questioned.

Mr. Macaroni’s call for legal recourse and respect for due process highlights a critical issue in the intersection of celebrity influence, government power, and the rights of ordinary citizens. His advocacy for judicial resolution over arbitrary detentions underscores the importance of maintaining the rule of law in addressing defamation and harassment cases.
