Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips is dead.
The news of his death was announced on his Instagram handle on Wednesday.
In the post, he mentioned a friend, @onlyonelifetime, expressing concern about not being able to reach them despite multiple phone calls. He emphasized how he disliked being alone at home, especially given his condition.
According to the post, he died last night (Tuesday) at 10:14 pm.
The Instagram post reads: “We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS passed away yesterday Nov 14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!
“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family.
In the wake of this tragic news, the music community mourns the loss of a talented artist. Oladips contributions to the Nigerian music scene will be remembered, and fans express their condolences during this difficult time.
“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen).”
