Nigerian social media personality Verydarkman (VDM) has stirred controversy by alleging that singer Dammy Krane was arrested and imprisoned due to actions taken by Davido. VDM made these claims in an Instagram post on August 28, 2024, which quickly captured the attention of Nigerians.
In his post, VDM addressed Davido directly, expressing disbelief at the singer’s alleged involvement in Krane’s detention. He described Davido as a “jolly good fellow” and insisted that he is “not an oppressor,” suggesting that Davido might have been pushed to take drastic measures.
He recounted a recent visit to a police station to thank officers who had assisted him. During this visit, he encountered a man who claimed to have seen a celebrity with dreadlocks in a cell. Curious, he requested to see the person and was shocked to discover it was Dammy Krane. Despite their rocky history, they had a conversation where Krane, whlll allegedly revealed that Davido was behind his arrest.
VDM advised Krane that his past provocations toward Davido, including unproven accusations and public insults, may have contributed to his current predicament. Despite this, VDM pleaded with Davido to release Krane, emphasizing that such actions do not align with Davido’s character.
These allegations come just weeks after Dammy Krane publicly warned that Davido should be held responsible if anything happened to him, claiming he was being “arrested and oppressed for seeking justice.”
